It's playoff time, and Mt. Zion had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 20-7 victory over the Treutlen Vikings on Friday.

Knox Israel was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 74 yards and three scores. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Mt. Zion's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.3 points on average over those games. As for Treutlen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Mt. Zion will face off against Early County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Rashad Montgomery and Devonis Lee. Treutlen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
