Basketball Recap: Cedar Park Comes Up Short

Cedar Park has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 41-34 to the Hays Hawks on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Timberwolves came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Hawks are ranked 171st).

Cedar Park's defeat dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Hays, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

Cedar Park will head out to square off against Lehman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Park is facing Lehman at the right time seeing as Lehman is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hays, they will host Leander at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
