Softball Recap: Lakeside Panthers vs. South Effingham Mustangs
Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-0 to the South Effingham Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on Monday.
Even though they lost, Lakeside hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in six consecutive matchups.
Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for South Effingham, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.
