The South Wake Sabres will challenge the New Life Camp Storm at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. South Wake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
South Wake came out on top against DASH on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run sixth inning. The Sabres blew past the United 15-1. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Sabres this season.

Ryan Shope was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Seth Kirk was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
South Wake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .528. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, New Life Camp won against Chatham HomeSchool last Thursday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Storm won by a run and slipped past St. David's 9-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Storm.
Ethan Windley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Windley was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
In other batting news, New Life Camp got a massive performance out of Seth Massie, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Massie also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aidan White-Smith, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
South Wake's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for New Life Camp, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. South Wake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like New Life Camp struggles in that department as they've averaged .392. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
