Basketball Recap: Western Hills Comes Up Short

Western Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Colerain Cardinals and fell 55-10. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in January of 2019.

Western Hills' loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Colerain, their win ended a 17-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11.

Western Hills and Colerain could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Western Hills (ranked 739th) will meet Aiken (ranked 291st) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Colerain will take on Princeton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday down 390 places (435 vs. 45).
