Norwich Free Academy led Eastern Connecticut - Large in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Woodstock Academy.
The Centaurs' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Billy Harrington threw for 55 and one touchdown and Michael Stringer had 45 yards receiving. On the ground Stringer chipped in 25 yards. Andrew Mancini helped Woodstock Academy's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Ackee Barber and Anothony Hodges New London has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Barber leads the league in passing with 183 yards, while Hodges has rushed for 75 yards this season. Woodstock Academy's Justin Cutting leads the league in receiving yards with 63 on two catches.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Whalers take on East Lyme. New London's offense has racked up 77 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Vikings have allowed only 86 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Wildcats take on Fitch. Norwich Free Academy is currently in first, while the Falcons are in third.
Fitch made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,265 from 6,525. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 28-7 victory over Stonington last week.
