Preview: Indian Trail Hawks vs. Fond du Lac Cardinals
The Indian Trail Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fond du Lac Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Indian Trail's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
Indian Trail pushed their score all the way to 63 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Racine Case 67-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game two weeks ago (55), Indian Trail still had to take the loss.
Indian Trail's loss came about despite a quality game from Mj Stackhouse, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. Stackhouse is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jack Zeller, who scored 12 points.
Fond du Lac posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Appleton East 63-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Indian Trail's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7. As for Fond du Lac, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
