Soccer Recap: Appling County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Appling County's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Crisp County Cougars a 2-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for Appling County as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Appling County's victory bumped their record up to 2-12. As for Crisp County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Appling County will challenge Ware County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crisp County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Crisp County face off against Sumter County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Sumter County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Crisp County surely won't give up without a fight.
