Volleyball Recap: Franklin Heights Comes Up Short

If Franklin Heights was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of West on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the Bexley Lions on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-12.

Elaina Estep paced Franklin Heights' offense, picking up six kills. Estep got some help from Meily Reyes and her seven assists. Estep was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Franklin Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Bexley, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Franklin Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Bishop Ready on the 9th. As for Bexley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Columbus School for Girls on the 9th.
