Basketball Recap: Madill Comes Up Short

Madill lost against Kingston back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Madill Wildcats fell 60-53 to the Kingston Redskins. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Redskins are ranked 130th).

Madill has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Kingston, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madill will take on Hugo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingston, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Byng at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
