Softball Recap: Westlake Takes a Loss

Westlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-11 to the Lackey Chargers. Even if the Wolverines couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lackey, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Westlake will square off against rival Leonardtown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lackey is set to challenge their familiar foe McDonough on Wednesday.
