Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Scotch Plains-Fanwood's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Scotch Plains-Fanwood's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past the Summit Hilltoppers with points to spare, taking the game 62-44. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Summit, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-7.
