Baseball Recap: Sierra Takes a Loss

Sierra had lost 12 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 1-17 to make it 13. They came up short against the Elizabeth Cardinals, falling 21-0. If the Stallions were looking for revenge after losing 20-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Elizabeth, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.

For Elizabeth's part, they got a massive performance out of Cole Robinson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Robinson a new career-high. Walker Blanchard was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Elizabeth beat Sierra by a score of 25-0 later that day.
