Baseball Recap: Excelsior Springs Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Excelsior Springs was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Grandview Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Excelsior Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Grandview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Excelsior Springs will square off against Smith-Cotton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Smith-Cotton will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Grandview, they will take on Smithville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
