Football Recap: Madison Warhawks vs. Helix Highlanders

While it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Madison was not quite Helix's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Helix Highlanders by a score of 23-20. The Warhawks haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Although Madison took the loss, they still got scores from Tijavon Moore and Adrian Sola.

Isaiah Jackson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 147 yards and a touchdown for Helix. Jackson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 147 rushing yards.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Helix, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Madison will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Granite Hills at 7:00 p.m. on September 27th. As for Helix, they will head out on the road to face off against Cathedral Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cathedral Catholic's defense has only allowed 17.5 points per game this season, so Helix's offense will have their work cut out for them.
