Volleyball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Rams vs. Franklin Heights Falcons
Whitehall-Yearling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Heights Falcons. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Falcons when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 24-26, 25-18.
Franklin Heights found their leader in sophomore Carli Wallace, who had 47 digs. Wallace is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. Meily Reyes was another key player, getting 13 digs and nine assists.
Whitehall-Yearling's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Franklin Heights, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.
Whitehall-Yearling didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Grandview Heights on the 27th. As for Franklin Heights, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Columbus School for Girls on the 28th.
