Softball Recap: Hamilton Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Hamilton put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Cooperstown. The Knights were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Redskins. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won three games in a row.

Ellie Freeth made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with six RBI and two triples. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Rihana Dye was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.

Hamilton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Hamilton's record now sits at 8-1. As for Cooperstown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
