Basketball Recap: Lake George Falls to Saratoga Central Catholic in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Lake George kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Saratoga Central Catholic Saints. If the Lakers were looking for revenge after losing 50-31 to the Saints when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Lake George still got an impressive performance from Morgan Stanco, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 20 boards. Madyson Brennan was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Lake George and Saratoga Central Catholic will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Lakers are set to take on their familiar foe Whitehall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Saratoga Central Catholic will face off against rival Emma Willard at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
