Baseball Game Preview: Crescent Tigers vs. Walhalla Razorbacks

For the second straight game, Crescent will face off against Walhalla. The Tigers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Razorbacks at 6:30 p.m. The last three games Crescent has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Crescent came out on top against Walhalla on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Tigers skirted past the Razorbacks 4-3.

For Walhalla's part, COLLIN PHILLIPS put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). PHILLIPS has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

PHILLIPS wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was JUSTIN LUSK, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Crescent pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Walhalla, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
