Basketball Game Preview: Grove City Greyhounds vs. Reynoldsburg Raiders

Grove City is 0-10 against Reynoldsburg since December of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Grove City Greyhounds will head out to square off against the Reynoldsburg Raiders at 2:30 p.m. Grove City will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Friday, Grove City was able to grind out a solid victory over Westerville Central, taking the game 52-39. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Warhawks are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Reynoldsburg had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down the Chieftains 58-42.

Reynoldsburg's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Grove City, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Grove City was taken down by Reynoldsburg 81-50 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can Grove City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
