Soccer Game Preview: Brenham vs. A&M Consolidated

Brenham hasn't had much luck against A&M Consolidated recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Brenham Cubs will square off against the A&M Consolidated Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Brenham turned things around against Huntsville on Friday. They never let the Hornets onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Cubs were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for A&M Consolidated after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of College Station by a score of 2-1.

Brenham's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for A&M Consolidated, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-2.

Brenham might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from A&M Consolidated in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Brenham avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
