Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, McDowell couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell to the Lake Norman Wildcats 58-52. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Lake Norman's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alexis Shehan, who shot 50% from the field en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayana Minard, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 17 points and four steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, McDowell fell to 30-1. As for Lake Norman, the win was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 29-1.

Coming up, McDowell will head out to challenge Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wakefield is on a 13-game streak of home wins, McDowell an 11-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Lake Norman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
