Soccer Game Preview: Forney vs. North Forney

The Forney Jackrabbits will face off against the North Forney Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Forney has 11 straight victories, North Forney has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Last Friday, Forney got the win against Longview by a conclusive 4-1. Considering the Jackrabbits have won seven matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Longview with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kalani Brundage, Kyleigh Johnson, Addison E. Smith, and Madalynn Putnam.

Meanwhile, North Forney fell victim to Longview and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Lobos. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Lobos are ranked 172nd).

North Forney's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Forney, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Forney took their victory against North Forney in their previous matchup back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 7-0. Will Forney repeat their success, or does North Forney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
