Grayslake Central lost to Von Steuben back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Rams walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Panthers. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly five runs.

The win made it two in a row for Grayslake Central and bumps their season record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Von Steuben, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9-2.

Coming up, Grayslake Central will welcome Antioch at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sequoits' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Von Steuben, they will venture away from home to face off against Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
