Basketball Recap: Gering Bulldogs vs. Sidney Red Raiders
Gering extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-12. They came up short against the Sidney Red Raiders, falling 63-37. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-33 back in December of 2025.

Despite the loss, Gering still got an impressive performance from Aubrey Anderson, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 13 points. Anderson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ivy Bruckner, who posted two points.
As for Sidney, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.

Gering wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-37 victory against Chase County on the 7th. As for Sidney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-51 defeat against Scottsbluff on the 7th.
