Basketball Recap: Hammon Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Hammon won the last time they faced Arnett and things went their way on Friday too. The Hammon Warriors took down the Arnett Wildcats 56-41. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Wildcats are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hammon pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Arnett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hammon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Seiling at 8:00 p.m. on January 17, 2025. After both having extra time off, Arnett and Canute will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Canute knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Arnett likes a good challenge.
