Baseball Recap: Valley Christian Has No Trouble Against Sacramento Country Day

Valley Christian got themselves on the board against Sacramento Country Day on Tuesday, but Sacramento Country Day never followed suit. They blew past the Cavaliers 15-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Louden Carter and Jeremiah Pritchard were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Carter didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Pritchard pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Carter scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Pritchard scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Pritchard a new career-high.

In other batting news, Nathan Yuen was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. David Harris was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases.

Valley Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sacramento Country Day only managed two hits.

Valley Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Sacramento Country Day, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Lions coming up. As for Sacramento Country Day, they will square off against Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
