Baseball Recap: Western Brown Comes Up Short

Western Brown easily dispatched Clermont Northeastern last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Broncos fell just short of the McClain Tigers by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Broncos have suffered since April 19th.

William Stewart made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Western Brown dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for McClain, they moved to 6-13 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Western Brown has already played their next game, a 14-1 defeat against Ross on the 21st. As for McClain, they will face off against Unioto at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Shermans will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
