Highland piles up the points against Corona del Sol

Recap: Highland Hawks vs. Corona del Sol Aztecs

The Highland Hawks stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 61-30 victory over Corona del Sol on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Highland also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Highland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grady Crandall, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Crandall is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Ty Crandall was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Several Aztecs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bo Dolinsek, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.

Corona del Sol struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Highland racked up 13 assists.

Highland is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Corona del Sol, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Highland will head out on the road to take on Desert Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Highland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday.
