Nathan Axmann Turns in Season-Best Effort
Waverly was led to victory by Nathan Axmann, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Axmann rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The victory (which was Waverly's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Axmann and Waverly will host Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Andreasen Posts Huge Game in 40-0 Victory
Pius X found a leader in Joseph Andreasen as the team took down Beatrice on Friday. Nobody could stop Andreasen as he rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
Unfortunately for Beatrice, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Andreasen. Andreasen rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Orangemen duked it out back in October of 2023.

Beatrice had to settle for second on Friday, but Merrick Johnson sure wasn't going down easily. Pius X had no answer to Johnson as he rushed for 32 yards.

Chris Garner Jr. Makes It Two for Norris
Another Norris player making an appearance on this list is Chris Garner Jr.. He picked up 134 receiving yards.
