Basketball Recap: Hamilton County Piles Up the Points Against Eldorado

There's no place like home for Hamilton County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Eldorado Eagles 61-18. Given the Foxes' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Eagles are ranked 604th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hamilton County pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Eldorado, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Hamilton County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-29 win against Flora on the 1st. As for Eldorado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-40 defeat against Carmi-White County on the 1st.
