Soccer Game Preview: Bluffton vs. May River

Bluffton hasn't had much luck against May River recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bobcats will host the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. May River took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bluffton, who comes in off a win.

Bluffton barely beat Beaufort the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 4-1 win on Friday. Bluffton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

Rolando Hernandez and Eder Chavelas scored all four of Bluffton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for May River after they claimed the first goal on Saturday, however, they wouldn't score again. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gatlinburg-Pittman.

Bluffton pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three games. As for May River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season.
