Basketball Game Preview: Marshalltown Bobcats vs. Lincoln Railsplitters

The Marshalltown Bobcats will head out to challenge the Lincoln Railsplitters at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshalltown will be strutting in after a win while Lincoln will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, Marshalltown took their matchup with ease, bagging a 55-10 victory over Des Moines North. That 45 point margin sets a new team best for the Bobcats this season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Newton and fell 65-35.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Marshalltown, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.

Marshalltown strolled past Lincoln in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 40-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marshalltown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
