Volleyball Recap: Agua Fria Snags 16th Victory in Last 20 Games

Agua Fria won the last time they faced Peoria and things went their way on Friday too. The Owls walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers.

While Agua Fria might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Peoria scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 16-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Bryan Burrows paced Agua Fria's offense, picking up 17 kills. Burrows got some help from Xavier Matthews and his 47 assists.

Agua Fria has been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Peoria, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-18.

Agua Fria has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Desert Sunrise on the 29th. As for Peoria, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Estrella Foothills on the 28th.
