Recap: Mary Persons Bulldogs vs. Peach County Trojans
The Mary Persons Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell 52-45 to Peach County. Mary Persons has struggled against Peach County recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Mary Persons' loss came despite strong showings from Isaiah Hendricks and Tobias Hare. Hendricks scored 15 points, while Hare scored 15 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hendricks has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Odoms, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
It was another big night for Alex Willock, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Peach County. Cam Cherry was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Mary Persons has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 18 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. As for Peach County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-12.
