Volleyball Recap: Arvada West Victorious

Arvada West won the last time they faced Mullen and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Arvada West easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15.

Evan Kabat paced Arvada West's offense, picking up seven kills. Kabat got some help from Kei Martin and his 20 assists. Martin also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Carter Pearson, racking up two apiece.

Arvada West's record now sits at 11-5. As for Mullen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Arvada West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Castle View on the 12th. As for Mullen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Regis Jesuit on the 12th.
