Baseball Game Preview: Pinelands Regional Wildcats vs. Toms River South Indians

The Pinelands Regional Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Toms River South Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pinelands Regional is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Pinelands Regional's last matchup with Lacey Township could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the Lions, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Toms River South gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Point Pleasant Beach. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Garnet Gulls recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Toms River South now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pinelands Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Pinelands Regional suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Toms River South when the teams last played back in May of 2021. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
