Volleyball Recap: Central Crossing Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Central Crossing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Lincoln Lions. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 20-25, 25-19.

Courtney Brothers paced Central Crossing's offense, picking up eight kills. Brothers got some help from Alexis Rose-Payne and her 23 assists. Tessa Cavey and Tristyn Smith kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Central Crossing's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Central Crossing didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Pickerington North on the 11th. As for Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against New Albany on the 11th.
