Softball Recap: Chesterfield Comes Up Short

Chesterfield's last matchup with Buford could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. Chesterfield came up short against Buford, falling 18-12. The Golden Rams have struggled against the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Chesterfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Buford, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Chesterfield will host Hartsville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Chesterfield's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hartsville has averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season. As for Buford, they will head out to square off against Cheraw at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buford is facing Cheraw at the right time seeing as Cheraw is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
