Chattanooga Central is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Chattanooga Central Pounders will look to defend their home field against the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Chattanooga Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Red Bank by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pounders have suffered against the Lions since May 6, 2019.

Isaac Garcia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That run marked the first that he scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Houston Boykin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to Marion County.

Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Chattanooga Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Chattanooga Central couldn't quite get it done against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can Chattanooga Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
