Basketball Recap: Brazoswood Comes Up Short

Brazoswood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 65-48 bruising from the Clear Creek Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 758th, while the Wildcats are ranked 339th).

Brazoswood's record now sits at 10-19. As for Clear Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-18 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brazoswood has already played their next game (against Clear Brook), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clear Creek will head out on the road to take on Clear Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Clear Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
