Softball Recap: Elmwood/Plum City Takes a Loss

Elmwood/Plum City lost against Mondovi back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolves fell 7-2 to the Buffaloes. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abby Krings was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Elmwood/Plum City now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mondovi, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Elmwood/Plum City is set to take on their familiar foe Colfax at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mondovi will challenge rival Elk Mound at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
