Football Recap: Bossier Takes a Loss

Bossier lost against Booker T. Washington-Shreveport back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearkats and the Lions were almost perfectly matched up, but the Bearkats suffered a 42-41 defeat. The Bearkats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Booker T. Washington-Shreveport's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tray Moore, who picked up 190 receiving yards and three TDs. Those 190 receiving yards gave Moore a new career-high. Devion Stewart was another key signal caller, throwing for 422 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt.

Bossier suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Booker T. Washington-Shreveport, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bossier will challenge Southwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Booker T. Washington-Shreveport, they will face off against North DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Griffins have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
