Softball Recap: Jack Britt Comes Up Short

Jack Britt lost against South View back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Jack Britt lost 14-5 to South View. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ashanthy Marcano and Emma Sandoval stepped up to the plate in a big way. Marcano went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Sandoval scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Those two doubles gave Marcano a new career-high. Ta'Niyah Turner also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Jack Britt's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for South View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jack Britt will square off against Douglas Byrd at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jack Britt is facing Douglas Byrd at the right time seeing as Douglas Byrd is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for South View, they will challenge Scotland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scotland will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something South View surely won't give up without a fight.
