Basketball Recap: Roan Vasko's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lowell over Griffith

Lowell lost against Griffith back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Devils took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. While the Red Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 17-11 in the first quarter.

Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Roan Vasko, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 16 points and five boards. Ezra Rumisek was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lowell fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Lowell will head out on the road to square off against Hebron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Griffith, they have already played their next contest, a 64-49 win against Lake Station Edison on the 6th.
