Volleyball Recap: Adams Central Flying Jets vs. Bluffton Tigers
Adams Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bluffton Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.
Adams Central took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-28, 22-25, 25-20, 15-9.
Katie Summers paced Adams Central's offense, picking up 16 kills. Summers got some help from Luci Noblitt and her 39 assists. Noblitt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
Adams Central now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Bluffton, their record now sits at 6-13.
Adams Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on the 25th. As for Bluffton, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Eastbrook on the 25th.
