Basketball Recap: Blue Valley Takes a Loss

Blue Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 57-44 to the Manhattan Indians. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Blue Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Manhattan, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Blue Valley and Washburn Rural will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another on February 4th. Blue Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Manhattan, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Topeka on February 5th.
