Softball Game Preview: Licking Wildcats vs. Potosi Trojans

For the second straight game, Licking will face off against Potosi. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Licking has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Licking lost 26-17 to Potosi on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (ten), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Allie Medlock was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. Aubrey Gorman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Potosi's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7. As for Licking, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.
