Volleyball Recap: Stephen-Argyle Central Takes a Loss

Stephen-Argyle Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Zairyn Wimpfheimer was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 21 assists and five digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Stephen-Argyle Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Stephen-Argyle Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] on the 11th. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Red Lake Falls on the 11th.
