Basketball Recap: Apache Junction Prospectors vs. Coolidge Bears

Apache Junction extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-16. They were outmatched by the Coolidge Bears and fell 47-14. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-10 on January 6th.

As for Coolidge, their win bumped their record up to 7-13. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Coolidge found their leader in sophomore Hariyah Maddox, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Maddox also set a new season-high mark in field goal percentage with 55%. Another player making a difference was Tatiana Pablo, who posted 17 points.
